A responsive public-sector website designed and implemented with the Diyar team on Microsoft SharePoint.
Discipline: Web Design and SharePoint | Year: 2025 | Role: Interface Designer and Frontend Contributor
Context
CITRA needed a responsive public-sector website implemented with the Diyar team on Microsoft SharePoint.
Problem
Public information and services had to fit a structured enterprise platform while remaining understandable and usable on smaller screens.
Role and scope
Interface Designer and Frontend Contributor supporting responsive behavior and SharePoint theme implementation.
Constraints
- Work within SharePoint templating and publishing constraints.
- Support content managed by a public-sector organization.
- Keep the interface usable across a wide range of screen sizes.
Key decisions
- Used repeatable page structures that matched the publishing model.
- Kept navigation and content hierarchy explicit for public information tasks.
- Adapted the visual system to SharePoint without making the platform visible in the experience.
What shipped
- Responsive public page templates.
- SharePoint theme implementation.
- Reusable navigation and content patterns.
Outcome
The project delivered a maintainable public-facing interface within the organization’s SharePoint environment.
Reflection
Platform constraints are most useful when treated as design inputs early, not implementation problems left until handoff.
